Dionysus She nods

Jack_C "We tried to intervene, but he killed two people with a gesture."

Jack_C "He said he'd sink the continent if we didn't give him Avery's eyes in a month."

Dionysus She pales, "Who?"

Jack_C "Can't say his name."

Jack_C "We've run from Morags. Swim For Your Life is a true story as well as a song."

Jack_C "We've fought a ravener."

Dionysus "All right. And... has Avery mentioned me at all?"

Jack_C "We've stormed a--Not to me."

Dionysus She blushes, "And he &... the oboist?"

Jack_C "None of this has to do with you drummin' for us."

Jack_C "So you showed some determination earlier. You really any good for what we're doin'?"

Jack_C "Or you just after Avery?"

Dionysus She sighs, "He's... important to me. But it's more than that. I want to help him, & I want to hear the Song. And I want to see the world. And as for the trouble... I'll deal with it if he has."

Jack_C "And what /if/ Avery and Aurelia are solid?"

Dionysus She blushes, "If that's what he really wants..."

Jack_C "I meant for you."

Jack_C "You gonna still be able to drum with us? climb wizards' towers and run from Morags with us?"

Dionysus She nods, "I can."

Jack_C "then I'll put in a good word for you when we talk. any other questions?"

Dionysus "When will you let me know?"
