| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, iron dragons grow to be massive iron earthworms. |
| Procreation | Follows the mother with each other. |
| Magic | One in three has soul magic. One in three hundred has heart magic. Mind & body magic are possible. Void is unlikely. Faith is not unheard of. |
| Special Powers | Dragons gain new powers as they grow older. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, culminating with the twelth ability when they reach old age. They are born with the ability to breathe thick clouds of dust. By the age of one thousand, they will have the ability to cause an earthquake at will, once a year. By the age of five thousand, they will have the ability to create a wall of thick stone about themselves. By the age of nine thousand, they will be completely unable to be petrified, so fluid is their body. By the age of twelve thousand, they will be impervious to magical or divine forms of radiation. By fifteen thousand, they will be immune to blades, magical or mundane or divine. By the time they are twenty thousand years old, they are able to grant another being one of their scales, allowing them to walk through stone. By the age of twenty five thousand, they can shape stone at will. By thirty thousand, they can summon earth elementals. By the age of forty thousand, they are able to control magma. By sixty thousand, they can see in very low light, & finally, by the age of seventy five thousand, any iron dragon can gate into the Pillar plane, briefly. Like all dragons, they can take on a smaller form at will from the time they reach maturity onward. This form, with iron dragons, is that of a maedar or medusa. |
| Weaknesses | Air magic or faith can harm them. |
| Culture | Iron dragons, like most dragons, are solitary beings, for the most part, only coming together under the reign of a greater dragon. They build intricate tunnel fortresses and store rare gems that they bask in the glow of. |
