| Description | The Indriks are horned beasts that are a cross between a lion & a ram, but with the teeth of a crocodile & the wings of a thunderbird. |
| Procreation | The Indrik can breed with any other being & produce offspring of whatever he mates with. Breeding between two Indriks is rare, & it produces new Indriks. It is said that this only happens when one of the twelve extant Indriks dies. Since they are immortal, this will only happen if something or someone kills an Indrik. It is said that an Indrik bred with the Unicorn to create the new Unicorn that would replace the old one when he died. |
| Magic | One in three have soul or heart magic. Mind and body magic are possible, as is void, though void is rare. Faith if nigh ubiquitous. |
| Special Powers | Its steps cause the earth to tremble. No beast can deny his commands, should he give one. Killing an Indrik results in a curse so horrible, even the gods fear to slay one. An Indrik can speak the language of any animal, call any animal to it, & its breathe is said to be able to restore any living thing to life. Its singing can revive whole regions of plant & animal life. |
| Weaknesses | Pestilence mixed with hunt magic or faith can kill one outright. |
| Culture | The King of All Beasts, the Indrik is an immortal animal dwelling in the mountains surrounding the forests of the World Tree. He rules the caves, the sky, the seas, the rivers, the swamps, the deserts, the forests, the hills, the mountains, & all places in between. The Indriks were the first true animals ever created on either Shem, as opposed to Divine Creation or races. |
