| Description | If they are visible, they appear to be young, beautiful, voluptuous women with disheveled hair covering their naked breasts. They carry candles and wear bells on their ankles. Powerful ones wear chainmail shirts. Some have wings. |
| Procreation | The iele turn female victims into new iele. |
| Magic | One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Every iele will have some form of magic. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | The iele only appear by moonlight while they dance. Most of the time they are incorporeal, but they can be solid if they wish. Their songs cause muteness and entrance listeners. Their dances put people to sleep. Their dancing can cause delirium and scorch the ground where they are. When the grass eventually grows back, it is red or dark green, and animals won't eat it. Only mushrooms will thrive there. Those they put to sleep are taken away. Even if they don't have wings, they can fly. Those without wings will be borne upon chariots of fire. |
| Weaknesses | Anyone who celebrates Rusaliile, a festival nine days after the start of spring, will be impervious to the iele. |
| Culture | The iele dance the Horas naked to mesmerize victims. They form groups of either 3 or 7, gathering in the air to mete out vengeance. They are extremely bad tempered. They demand vengeance of people who provoke or offend themn people who see them dancing, people who sleep upon the ground scorched by their dance or under the their trees, or people who drink from their springs. If someone refuses to dance with them, they punish them severely. If someone mimics their movements, they punish them severely. |
