Description Hyaasterians are alien beings with six elongated fingers on each hand and tight-fitting skin. Their eyes are deep wells of starry infinity and their hair is made of thin strands of minerals, mostly quartz. Their skin tone is a yellowish grey.
Procreation With other hyaasterians to make new hyaasterians. With other asterians, it follows the parents.
Esoterica All hyaasterians can instinctively command complexity to move at lightspeed. Some practice other arts with aether. Poioumenonic arts, such as magic or wyrding, are rare, but soul and heart magic do naturally occur for one in every five hundred thousand asterians. Infernal and heavenly arts are rare as well, but void is more common than any other infernal art. Faith is not uncommon.
Special Powers Hyaasterians innately know their cosmic position.. A hyaasterian can move themselves and others around them at lightspeed for days at a time if they go into a meditative trance.
Weaknesses If a hyaasterian forgets her cosmic position, she goes mad.
Culture Hyaasterians are considered elite among asterians. Their ability to move ships at lightspeed, when combined with plication, allows asterians to move through deep space. They are stereotyped as wise beings by other asterians, though they dislike that label.
