Description: They appear to be faded versions of their former selves, though when they are first created, they have blue or green flames around them. The flames sometimes have long tails.

Procreation: None. Hitodamas occur naturally if the person feared the afterlife enough that they would attempt to remain, but not enough that they would seek the pain of greater undeath.

Magic: None.

Special Powers: Hitodamas cannot affect the physical world at all. They are images of the dead, unless they connect to a medium. In a medium, they are pretty much the same as shades, but with a little more strength. An undeath power of 4 can cause someone to become a hitodama, despite not being fearful. The most they can do to anyone is frighten them.

Culture: Hitodamas are basically a painful existence of watching the area where they returned to until they are dealt with or until they are moved.

Notables: There was a hall in the Srisian Imperial Palace where Imperial Princes who died young would appear as phantoms. Hundreds of these eventually filled the hall.
