| Description | Hashmalim appear to be a cloud with flashing fire and an aura of light surrounding a figure the color of electrum within it, each with four faces and four wings. They have straight legs with their feet like those of a calf and gleameing like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. They have the faces of a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle. They always come from the north. Their hooves never touch the ground. |
| Procreation | As permitted by their leaders, only with each other. |
| Esoterica | All angels gain power from the Divine they serve. They are made of heavenly light, and therefore, all of their powers are filtered through that energy. Hashmalim are imbued with Foundation energy and the Divine might of Genesis. Other powers vary and are limited in their uses, but unholy powers are impossible. |
| Special Powers | Each kind of angel has special powers based on their function in service to their Divine. All angels have a holy aura. For hashmalim that aura is one of generation, creative energy creating matter spontaneously. All angels also communicate directly to the souls of the faithful or those who have not been wholly corrupted. |
| Scribe | Scribe hashmalim have powers that aide them in the administration of their domains. They have a pen made from one of their feathers, called a stylus. A hashmal's stylus has the power to write perfect instructions for how to make anything. They have an oculus power that allows them to see potential. They also have an aspectu, which is their power to see and understand how to repair something with a glance. All scribes understand any non-evil language and have the power to understand their Divine's judgment of a mortal and inscribe it upon the scrolls of Heaven. |
| Herald | Herald hashmalim's powers aide them in spreading the Word of Genesis. They bear a trumpet called a lituus, which brings inspiration to those devoted to craft and guilt to those who destroy without consideration. Their cross, or crucis, spreads light that shows their position in creation. And their scrolls bear the Word, which drives those who hear or read it to become makers and crafters and builders. Herald hashmalim have a capio, or required task, which requires them to spread creative inspiration. As they do this, they become stronger. Their oculus allows them to see potential, and their infundere allows them to infuse creativity into the potential makers they can see. Heralds can appear anywhere, though if they appear in unholy areas, it can hurt them. They speak all non-evil tongues. No one who hears their words, or voce, will ever forget them. |
| Warrior | Warrior hashmalim have powers that aide them in fighting evil. They bear a sword called a gladius and a shield called a scutum (though their appearances to not necessarily match those terms). Their gladius ----, and their scutum -----. Their oculus allows them to see ----. They have a presence called a coram, which ----. Warriors gain power through service. For every 1,000 beings of pure evil they destroy, they gain a new power, capping at twelve:
The more evil a foe is, the more attacks a warrior has per round, capping at twelve. |
| Guardian | Guardian hashmalim protect innocents and followers of Genesis. Those they protect cannot see them without esoteric intervention. If their ward's soul is in incredible danger, they can intervene at the cost of their existence. Guardian hashmalim have a power called teneo, which allows them to absorb anger to protect their ward. Their oculus allows them to see potential, and their augere power allows them to increase the creativity in their ward, if need be. Once in the life of their ward, they may physically intervene to protect them, surrounding them with a holy barrier that fashions an impervious wall. |
| Lord | Lord hashmalim are the most powerful of all angels. Their very presence exudes power. This is called coram. For lord hashmalim, their presence is one of creativity and craftsmanship, allowing them inspire creation around them at will. Every lord angel gains power both from serving their Divine and from being served by lesser angels. The gain a new power every Age they exist in service, capping at twelve:

| Service | Hashmalim serve Genesis. Scribe hashmalim administer the work of the Foundation. They keep track of the creations and crafts of all makers and followers of Genesis. They do all of the minor tasks that make the realm of Making and Origin work. Herald hashmalim spread creativity in the world. They leave the Foundation and spread the Word, seeking out those mortals who will do great works of crafting and making in the world and empowering them. They also carry messages for Genesis between Him and other Divines. Warrior hashmalim are the army of Genesis and the Foundation. They oppose evil in all its forms and serve as the Foundation's defense against the powers of the Infernal. They are a creative, innovative army led by their Master Damiel. Guardian hashmalim protect the makers and crafters and followers of Genesis. They exist as protectors. Holier beings sometimes have more than one guardian. They cannot leave their service to their ward, or they fall. Lord hashmalim run the Foundation and see to it that all other hashmalim are doing as they must. |
