Description Hadafirans are anthropomorphic hyraxes. they stand about 4-5' tall, with well-furred, rotund bodies and short tails. They are thickset beings, and their fur is light brown to dark brown to grey in hue.
Procreation With each other.
Magic One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon.
Special Powers Hadafirans have solid digestions because of their multi-chambered stomachs, which allow them to eat almost any sort of vegetation, which is quite useful in the arid climates in which they live. They have sweaty, leathery palms and soles that allow them to climb rocky cliffs, and they retain water because of their efficient kidneys. They are known for their wisdom, hard won from long lives in the deserts, and the medicinal properties of their excretions.
Weaknesses Hadafirans cannot regulate their body temperatures very well, and thus often huddle together and bask in the sun for warmth.
Culture Hadafirans come in two tribes: rock and tree. These two tribes only truly differ by territory.

Hadafirans are noisy, aggressive folk who command large desert or rocky territories, where they command small harems (sometimes multiple harems). They have a patriarchal society, and the weaker males often find themselves living solitary lives.

It is said that hadafirans chew cud, but this is not true: they have a chewing gesture that is a sign of antagonism amongst their people.
