The gulon is a Faric rodent, called a "Jerff" in Hynof, and "Vielfraß" in Jesenya. It is about the size of a dog, with a cat-like head and ears and claws. Its fur is heavy and brown, and its tail is vulpine. It is a gluttonous creature that will kill and gorge until it is unable to eat further. After filling itself, it will lodge itself between trees and squeeze itself such that the meat is forced through its body. It will then hunt again and repeat this.
