Grainne was a boghdoir, one of the elite archers of the fey courts, who could put an arrow through the eye of a gnat. She wielded Bogha Airgid, the Silver Bow, and Saigheada Fiaine, the Wilder Arrows, making her the only member of the Cinn Mhaithe to use two of the Queen’s treasures. Prideful and aloof, she scorned the advances of thousands of men and spent her nights with any woman she chose. She was a ruthless killer who was only considered a heroine because she used that skill on the enemies of the Queen. On the Great Voyage, she continued her ways, refusing love, until they visited Jahur. There, she met the verethir Jhasmariesa, and the two spent a mortal’s lifetime together, untouchable by the rest of the cosmos. Grainne bonded so deeply with her lover, she forgot all else. Eventually, they chose to go to the Green Moon, where Grainne could make amends for the violence of her past. Now she is attuned to the land as a ranger, bonded via love, protecting those she once terrorized.
