| Description | Slender, sleek, gold-skined trolls who dwell just under the dunes of the desert. They have the body frame of a feathered troll, with gold eyes & white hair. |
| Procreation | Follows the mother with other humanoids & trolls. With other races, either no issue or halfbreeds. |
| Magic | One in five million have soul magic or heart magic. Mind magic, body magic, & void are possible. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | A goldenback troll is a fierce survivor. They are capable of wielding the heat of the sun in order to hurt a foe (a sunbreak, it's called). This skill takes a lot out of them, however, so it is often saved for their most dangerous opponents. They do not need water, but they can strike an opponent & knock all the water from them. |
| Weaknesses | Darkness, moon, or water magic or faith can hurt them. Water in any form is unpleasant to them in any large amount (more than is in the typical desert air). |
| Culture | Goldenback trolls live in large tribes, hiding under the desert sands during the night, & wearing light cloaks during the day to keep any inadvertent moisture off. They mix with other trollish races rarely, but only because few ever meet them. They are extremely honorable people. |
