The Heart of Qi is a literal, silver hued heart that can be used in one of three ways:

(1) As a talisman.
(2) As an ingredient.
(3) As an acutal heart.

Since it is currently in use as (3), we shall only discuss it. That's the most potent form, anyway.

The Heart is a fourth of a Name, and as such, it applies to that fourth fo the Name--emotion. But it is also a physical thing, and it must be attuned to that aspect--Body. And it is a Gift of Life, so it is doubly attuned to Body.

Its most basic power is to amplify the qi present in a person. This gives the user a 25 in qi power, or +10, whichever is higher. It also naturally improves the person's body. Cardiovascular health improves within moments, endurance increases, and health problems clear up quickly. +6 endurance (under ATH), +6 disease and poison resistance (under STR), and the curing of any diseases had at the time of use. The elven curse/Agikaani shame is not included in this. It is not a physical ailment.

Metaphysically, the Heart protects the user from the powers of undeath. This translates as +6 WIL vs. undeath powers.

Emotionally, the Heart is empowered maternal impulses, compassion, and kindness. The opposites of these emotions--pedophobia, schadenfreude, and cruelty--weaken it. All emotions can be used as fuel to make the Heart do other things, similar to heartcasting. It acts, in this regard, as the Argent sphere in heartcasting--life magic, sort of. It is not--this is important--actually magic. It is qi being used in a manner similar to magic. Your score in it will be based on how much emotion you contribute as fuel, but it will give +3 automatically to any emotional score. So if you fuel it with a 7 in emotion, you cast from a 10. Furthermore, the three emotions that empower it add a further +3, and the three that weaken it take away -3.

Because qi is a power that is made to blend with other powers, allowing one to control those other powers, the Heart is a natural amplifier for that. The heart does not naturally grant these powers, however, but since it gives a boost to qi power, it makes those other powers easier. The greater your qi, the more of other powers you can command.

Then, there is healing. If you have enough control of your qi, you can heal others through touch. If you don't have enough control over your qi, you can heal them by letting them drink your Heart-enriched blood. Qi in the blood is used up as it goes through the body, empowering organs and fighting disease, so blood going to the Heart is weaker than blood coming from it. To heal by letting someone drink your blood, tap an artery, not a vein.

Qi also allows you to alter your body, or the bodies of others. As a Gift, it also allows some emotional control. Bonuses to STR and ATH are easy. To the self, you simply will these things to happen. To others, you must either use the qi control like in healing or let them drink enriched blood. Emotional control is more difficult, but possible. Any bonuses from this vary by circumstance and emotion chosen. You cannot amplify emotions with it, but you can keep them in check.

Finally, there is the bonus to actual qi control. This works on emotional fuel, just like the pseudo-life magic.The same six emotions strengthen or weaken it, but any emotion will work if sacrificed as fuel. It is a 3/1 ratio: 3 ponts of emotion for 1 more point of qi control. Maternal impulses, compassion, and kindness make it a 1/1 ration, and pedophobia, schadenfreude, and cruelty make it a 6/1 ratio.
