Giant bristleworms live in the deepest waters, near hydrothermal vents and in deep, deep trenches. They are segmented worms, around 100' long, with brightly colored, luminescent skin. They have paddles on each segment of their bodies that unleash foul muck into the ocean deeps. Each paddle is covered in bristles that will poison anyone struck with them. They swim poorly, but crawl across the bottom of the oceans with speed. They can burrow into the ocean floor shallowly, but they prefer to remain above it. They eat dirt and stone and rotting animal corpses, and shipwrecks. Their mouths are under their heads. They have four pairs of eyes, but they cannot see very well, no more than distinguishing between light and shadow. They have antennae that they use to analyze the chemical make up of the water around them.
