A very long, strong magical snake with two heads (one at each end). A cousin to the amphisbaena, the garafena has a magical bond to a specific artifact (each garafena having a different artifact that they bond with). If one has the artifact, one controls the snake.

Each head of the garafena represents a sphere in which the snake has some powers. Possible spheres include water, fire, earth, air, weather, moon, sun, flora, fauna, pestilence, healing, life, harvest, ice, famine, cosmos, dragon, death, or dream.
