Encantados have an insatiable lust and breed with almost anything it is physically possible to breed with, producing many, many illegitimate children of the races of their partners, but they only make new encantados by turning a partner into one.

Encantados are skilled musicians, dancers, and seducers. They are also very skilled at sex. They have a natural inclination and ability to learn lesser magic forms, and they have a few racial magical abilities of their own: minor enchantments on other people, persuasion, storm control, cause illness, cause insantiy, cause death, and of course, their shapechanging abilities. It is easier to become a human at night.

Encantados live in the Island Bridge, in the rivers of the islands or in the jungles, depending on their stage of life. During their early years, they will have the form of a freshwater dolphin and live in pods in the rivers. They will come up out of the rivers during festivals and dance with the people, trying to ensorcel someone into joining them in copulation and alleviate their legendary loneliness and lust. By the time they are an Age old, they will begin to shift toward the form of a coral snake, and they will stop being social with their peers, going into the jungles to study magic. Once they have mastered a sphere of magic, they will begin trying to find a new mate, this one to turn into an encantado.
