Description Eekahials appear to be anthropomorphic figures with rocky skin, patches of metal on their bodies, and no hair. Their eyes are slate grey. When they stretch out their arms, an image of a bear appears around them.
Procreation With each other.
Esoterica One in fifty million have heart or soul magic. All have soulbonding. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon. Shebvic arts are common. Other esoterica is possible.
Special Powers Eekahials can learn to bond their souls to anything, permanently, and they can control weaker aniamls with their voices. Once they learn to bond with something, they master only that form of bonding and do not practice it with any other kind of creautre. They have a communal bond connecting their hearts and minds, and they are resistant to mind control. They can elongate their arms, and when they do, the arms become clawed and their bear-auras appear. Their bear-aura determines what kind of bear they are able to merge with. If they merge with a bear, they become permanently part of the communal soul of the race.

Eekahials can also sense shebv heya. If they remain in one area long enough, they will instinctively find a bears to merge with--they call this "emerging."
Weaknesses If they do not learn to bond with something, they wither and die.
Culture Eekahials focus their lives on learning to bond with something, and once they have bonded, they seek to bond as much as possible throughout their lives, mastering the skill of soulbonding with specific creatures.
