| Description | Dwonnic elves tend to stand about 6' tall. Like all elves, they are slender of build & have pointed ears. Their hair is white, black, or gray & their skin is usually dark gray. |
| Procreation | It follows the mother amongst elves. Halfbreeds are possible outside faeborn. |
| Magic | One in five hundred thousand have soul magic. One in a million have heart magic. Mind & body magics are possible, as is void. Faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Elven powers work two ways: first, when a group of elves lives in an area, they begin to dominate life there, shaping the environment around them simply by existing. Second, the way they live their lives determines the sort of abilities they develop as they grow up. For Dwonnic elves, the surrounding area will become dark, twisted, & evil in appearance. Trees will grow dark & sinister, the ground soil will turn black, & the animals will become vicious & dangerous. Individual powers that develop take on a dark aspect. They can see in the dark & have keen senses that are more attuned to the flow of life than most other races. |
| Weaknesses | Light magic or faith harms them. |
| Culture | Dwonnic elves are a cruel & unforgiving race. Personal gain & individualism are the most important virtues to a Dwonnic. The acquisition of power through any means necessary is what they seek. As such, their society is a blackhole of brutal intrigue, ruthless powermongering, & open displays of might or meekness. The only people in Dwonnic society who are respected & considered untouchable are the clergy, who command the powers of the dark gods. The Dwonnic church is different from other dark churches in that it reveres all three deities of darkness--different branches focusing on either Raithev or Deserel as supreme (never Greneja, who is treated as a lesser deity all together). Like all elves, they bear an inherent superior attitude that other races usually deem as arrogant--in the case of Dwonnic, a correct interpretation. Furthermore, all elven societies are matrilineal. Spiders are sacred to them |
