Dubhdara was a skilled rider of any animal he came across. He loved riding, and he was the one who cared for the steeds of the Cinn Mhaithe. He bore Crochadan Beo, the Pendant of Life, that helped him with animals, and the occasional act of healing. He lived in the saddle, though he didn’t always need one. He and his trusted steed, a giant deer named Tressach, were never apart until the Great Voyage, when he had to leave Tressach behind. On the voyage, he met and bonded with the pegasus Prostasia. The two spent a long time on the world of Ane, appreciating the solitude and studying the universe. Though in his adventures he lost and eye and an ear, he still has a passion for riding and studying. When he returned eventually to the Green Moon, Tressach awaited him, and the three settled down in a village in the grasslands where Dubhdara studies the cosmos still and his steeds romp freely.
