| Description | Dokkaebi appear to be short, one-legged beings with grotesque features, or inanimate objects. Common forms are brooms, fireplace pokers, pestles, flails, and objects not commonly used around the house, but kept for those occasions they are needed. |
| Procreation | With each other for more dokkaebi. With other akka, it follows the mother. |
| Magic | One in one-hundred thousand has heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is possible. |
| Special Powers | Dokkaebi can shift between their grotesque form and their inanimate form at will. They have a cap which grants invisibility 5 times a day, a magic club which summons objects they want (stealing them from elsewhere), and a great love of and skill at wrestling. They are strong on their right sides. Dokkaebi can bond to another being and slowly take over their bodies, becoming them and forcing the owner of the body into the inanimate object form. All dokkaebi yearn for a real body, but only the most evil will take from an unwilling subject. |
| Weaknesses | Their left sides are weak and they are susceptible to their own tricks. |
| Culture | Dokkaebi live in out of the way homes, disguised as their inanimate forms, appearing as unused objects kept around the house. They will sneak out of their forms at night and play fun tricks on the household, gauging the reaction of the homeowners to figure out what to do. If the homeowner reacts badly, they will judge them evil and begin escalating their tricks. If the homeowner is good humored, they will reward them, and if the reaction is neutral or unjudgeable, they will move on. They love alcohol, and anyone who gets them drunk will be an instant friend. They love wrestling, and they will challenge anyone to a match. Their yearning for a body often leads them to find people who are injured or old and offer them deals--wealth to pass down to heirs or companionship at their bedsides, etc., in exchange for their bodies at the moment before death. Once they take their new form, they can heal it by bonding to a new inanimate object. |
