| Special Powers | Diwata are bound to trees, usually large trees like acacia or belate trees. They can appear as almost any human-like appearance, always beautiful, and offer good things to people: health, crop growth, good fortunes, etc. in exchange for worship. If they are worshiped, they will be faithful and loyal, but if they are spurned, they will cause illness, fallow fields, and misfortune. |

| Culture | Diwata are said to be long dead Divines, once worshiped and now forgotten, so long gone that they never exitsed on Shem. Once, they were nature deities, creators, and healers, luck deities and sea deities, but they were corrupted by the False Goddess and turned into pseudo-hominidoid beings that could do naught but deceive and trick others into believing they were gods. It is said that one day, they will rise up and take their place as true gods. They dwell in their trees and wait for people to come near, whom they seduce into worshiping them. False faith will enrage them and they will cause misfortunes on their followers, but true faith is rewarded greatly. However, once their followers die, they will be bound to the same trees and not allowed into the afterlife. These followers slowly become new, lesser diwata who do not have the Divine spark. If a diwata gets enough followers, though, they can free themselves of their trees and become an Immortal, Demigod, or even an actual Divine. This has yet to happen, but they are still very young. |
