Military: Powerful natural defenses aside, the Fire Stones boast a skilled but small navy, a decent artillery, and a small infantry. No cavalry to speak of, nor metaphysick corps, and a weak intelligence force. All are excellently armed.

Culture: A fishing culture mixed with a volcanic one, the fire dwarves live in the shadow of violent volcanoes, leaving to sea when the mountains erupt. Their smithing is second to none, and their ability to work brass is marveled at the world over. They make most of their wealth from selling their craftwork, sailing to ports to push their wares, then returning for the fishing seasons and the festivals of fire. During evacuations, they dwell on large colony boats, which are stocked permanently with dried fish and vegetables for a year's time.
