| Founded | Various times and places, first circa Epoch of the Brown Pillar 51 |
| Founder | Mikhail Mao |
| Symbol | Changes with each incarnation, but the most common is an inverted pyramid. |
| Purpose | To eliminate the distinction between gods and mortals |
| Leader | Depends on the incarnation |
| History | Originally formed to compete with the Littany Corporation apotheosis agency, Consensus acts as Mao's extended staff, searching for apotheosis candidates and observing or recruiting them, performing research in related areas, and feeding disinformation to the competition while gathering their own intelligence. |

| Rules | Consensus takes whatever form is most suited to the current venue. The most common incarnations are Consensus Foundation, a charitable organization; Consensus Holdings, a corporation; and the Temple of Consensus, a pantheistic church. Consensus rebrands frequently, both by inventing new names and marks, and by taking over or co-opting existing ones. All incarnations are cutthroat and highly competitive environments internally that value initiative and results over all else. As a result, turnover is high, though the Temple has a large "flock" which is maintained for various shady purposes, and the employees of Consensus Holdings subsidiaries may never realize who they really work for. |
| Alliances | Order of Sather, Cult of Contradiction, Monsapple Trading, Guardians of Mortality, and others, depending on the politics of the era |
