Description: Chindis have no appearance usually, but they can create counterclockwise dustdevils on the plains.
Procreation: They do not procreate. They are created when a person who was not in harmony with the world dies and all of the evil in them is expelled in their last breath, or by undeath power. They are relatively rarely made, but due to the long history of the world, many of them exist.
Magic: None, unless they are allowed to take over a medium. If they had magic in life, they could potentially have it in a medium.
Special Powers: The touch of a chindi will cause ghost sickness in a person. They can create counterclockwise dustdevils on the plains. Their presence infects whatever is nearby, so homes and clothes and possessions of the deceased often have the chindi in them. It is a 12 undeath or pestilence power to make, control, or summon one. To speak the name of a chindi is to attract it.
Ghost sickness starts with a loss of appetite, then grows into fatigue, recurring nightmares, pervasive terror (especially of common dangers), obsession with death, dizziness, fainting, comas, anxiety, hallucinations, confusion, feelings of pointlessness and despair, and most commonly the feeling that one is suffocating.
