Cetaceanoids are generally immensely strong.

Cetaceanoids must breathe air like regular whales, but they are able to go long periods without surfacing. They expel air and water via their blowholes. They have either a baleen or teeth, depending on the sort of whale they are.

Cetaceanoids are known for breaching, skyhopping, lobtailing, logging, and some engage in the peduncle throw. Breaching (or leaping) is when they leap from the water. This is often done simply to show off, but it can be used to stun enemies via the sound it makes, warn others, or just for fun. Skyhopping is simply rising up out of the water halfway and looking around. Lobtailing is smacking the water with their tails, a loud and frightening sound. And the peduncle throw is an athletic maneuver humpback cetaceanoids pull when they are in a fight. Logging is simply floating on the surface to rest.

Cetaceanoids never completely sleep, and they can control their own buoyancy. A beached whale is given strength by special mushrooms.

Ceteaceanoids use whalesong to speak to each other or to normal whales. It's extremely loud, heard for miles, and carries information with its subtle patterns and fluctuations. Cetaceanoid whalesong is immensely potent, usable as water-spellsong.

Occasionally, a cetaceanoid is born with hands and feet who will be either an outcast or a born leader.
