Cerosians appear to be anthropomorphic rhinoceroses. They are huge (8' to 10' tall) with heavy, thick skin. They have one or two horns on their long snouts. Breeds can be yellowish brown, slate grey, silver brown, or reddish brown. Some breeds have folds in their skin that makes it look armored, and some have wart-like bumps along their legs, back, and shoulders. They have tail bristles. Some have pointed, beaklike mouths, and some are hairless.

One in five million have heart or soul magic. Mind and body magic are possible. Void is possible. Faith is not uncommon.

Deceit magic or faith can harm them. They need to eat salt often.
