| Corruption | Women whose lives were ones that instilled fear in others can become cemmauizcui. Usually killers, tyrants, abusers, or cruel esotericists, they are corrupted by the fear and pain they cause in life. |
| Esoterica | Cemmauizcui are beings of uafas and msawhat. They have some of the powers they had life, corrupted, but not those of qi, the gates, or heavenly essences. These are replaced by strong powers with uafas. In undeath, they sometimes learn new powers, specially other forms of msawhat and all forms of arnum or infernum, blood energies, Damaskian powers, some forms of aether, rending, entropy, spirits, kor, and symbolism. |
| Special Powers | Cemmauizcui cause unease in those who are near them. They can appear in any reflective surface if it is dark enough. This allows them access to anywhere they can reach through that reflective surface. The scream of a cemmauizcui can cause a person's eardrums to burst. If a cemmauizcui strangles someone, they will devour that person's soul. If they drink someone's blood, they take that person's lifeforce. If they scratch out someone's eyes, they can see everyone that person was related to. If summoned, they can reveal the future to their summoner, but only who they will marry (showing their image) or if they will die before marriage (showing a bloody skull). If a cemmauizcui devours enough souls or lifeforce, they gain more powers, mostly to terrify, create illusions, or control others. |
| Necromancy | To become a cemmauizcui intentionally (and it is only possible to create one of oneself, not of others), one must be a woman who has committed acts of terror and torment throughout their life and then perform a ritual (20) between two full length mirrors. First, draw a circle of blood around the two mirrors. Second, step between the mirrors and face one of them while in a dimly lit room, then speak one's name thirteen times. Turn around, do the same, pronouncing the names backward. Turn again, and this time, break the mirror with one's bare hand (or equivalent). Let the glass shards cut you. Turn and do the same again with the other hand. Lie down in one's own blood and continue speaking one's name thirteen times forward, thirteen times backward. Repeat this process thirteen times. If this happens before you bleed out, your corrupted soul will stand up and walk into the mirror with the most surviving glass. Speak her name thrice into a mirror in a candle-lit or otherwise dimly lit room, and she appears. Walk up the stairs backward with a candle and a mirror to see her without summoning her. Control her by finding a shard of the original mirrors she used in her ceremony (if she became a cemmauizcui through ceremony) or from the first mirror she appeared in after dying and speaking her name backward into it twelve times. She will try very hard to make you say it a thirteenth time and give her power over you. If you keep her trapped like this, you may also draw power from her. A medium can channel a cemmauizcui, at great risk. If a medium is overcome by the cemmauizcui, they will be trapped in the mirrors with the femmes morte. |
| Sending | Setting up mirrors so the cemmauizcui sees her own reflection repeated infinitely and then shattering those mirrors with a piece of silver, ailsilver, oneirium, or kleosium will send the cemmauizcui. |
| Weaknesses | Glory energy or dream energy can harm a cemmauizcui. Heavenly essences, qi, or the gates can also send them. Too much light will keep them from appearing in a mirror. |
| Behavior | Cemmauizcui seek out victims to torment, kill, and devour the blood and souls of. They stalk mirrors and reflective surfaces to find victims, then come out of those surfaces to kill when it is dark enough. |
| Dominion Culture | Cemmauizcui are part of the ruling class of the Fellwood Dominion. A powerful cemmauizcui queen is one of the Tres Hermanas Muertas who rule the Dominion from the haunted forest. They are feared and known for their powers of terrifying illusions that they gain as they kill and eat souls. |
| Other Dominions | Among other Dominions, cemmauizcui are usually powerful but lower-ranking ruling classes. Among the Phatahuan, they are revered and have powers of pain. Among the Srisians, they are more sensitive to the light but also have the power to create better illusions. Among the Qhanuum, they gain void powers from void blood. Among the Durosian, they are universally beautiful and terrifying at once. Among the Godless, they haunt Divinely empowered places to make them desecrate. Among the Raesians, they have stronger soulstealing powers. And among the Stillborn, they torment children. |
| Mortal Interactions | Cemmauizcui are often summoned by mortals who think them fake, taunted or dared to speak the names of the cemmauizcui into a mirror. |
| Afterlife | Very rarely is a cemmauizcui redeemed. Usually they spend millennia in the in-between then go on to the Hells, Evernight, or Grey Lands for their crimes. |
