| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, brass dragons grow to be brass-scaled serpents with wings and large hind legs. |
| Procreation | Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching. |
| Esoterica | Brass dragons have accumulated great quantities of fate. Paradox, mystery, complexity, poioumenon, yahas, ethereal energy, winds aether, sol angelic aether, earthpower, and shebv heya are all common. Divine energies are common. Other powers vary, but fortune is impossible. |
| Special Powers | Dragons gain new powers as they accumulate more energies. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, usually culminating with the twelfth ability when they accumulate . The usual progression of powers is as follows:
All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects. Other common powers include vanish (12/year), danger sense, time travel, and sandstorm. |
| Alternate Forms | Brass dragons will take the form of a rota-tythe if it is fated to be. |
| Weaknesses | Fortune can harm them. |
| Subspecies | Thread dragons have accumulated more fate than others, and they become finned wyrms with metallic scales and glowing dark eyes. They see only the paths of fate and can reach out and touch the threads of reality, altering them at will. |
| Culture | Brass dragons lay their eggs in mountain caves deep in the desert, near water. When they hatch, those fated to die are left to die, and the rest are cared for by the tribe. One in forty is fated to die. Once they reach maturity, they are sent on a quest to fulfill their fate and bring back items for the hoard. If they are fated to die on their quest, they are not given any resources. Any who somehow defy their fate are shunned and rejected, often forced to become other kinds of dragons. They find mates based on whom they are fated to be with, and they die when they are fated to die. If this is in old age, they often retire to be grand prophets in the deep desert first. |
