Following on the Frontier arc from The Coalesce, this story is about the Black Sash Posse that comes to control the Gold Rush region of the Other World.
Arcs :
1. Bloody Alliance:
After the Black Sash Posse takes over the Gold Rush region and the dark forces unleashed from Unnamed now roam free, the settlers are forced to come to terms with their own bloody history and the pain they caused the indigenous peoples of the Other World. A group of indigenous leaders has agreed to meet them in the Forest of Bleeding Trees to discuss terms of alliance against the Posse.
PCs:
2. Goldstrike Casino:
As Eureka's boom continues, the Posse's leaders reap benefits. The Goldstrike Casino is run by two of their captains, Mary and Anne Campbell, who are legendary twin gamblers and gunslingers. They control the entire town and have run out the other gambling establishments. The former ruling class of Eureka either capitulated or left, and the working people are being exploited. Players would be gamblers called to the town by locals who want to try to break the power of the Campbell sisters.
PCs:
3. Hired Guns:
The former mayor of Wagoner, Mason J. Thrace, joined the Posse shortly after they arrived. He has risen in the ranks by being their point person in fighting the Monsapple Trading Company, driving them out so the Posse can control the area. Agents of the Monsapples have hired a detective/hitman to face this new mobster and his ruffians in the town.
PC:
4. Mudrock:
Within a few months of arrival, the Posse has turned White Rock into a seedy, rundown, violent town of brutal violence and ruthless crime. The Posse leader in town is a man named Brutus Marion, a huge brawler, and Scorpion Egus, a quiet man who apparently eats scorpions. When a beetle-monster raid hits, chaos ensues in this lawless region. Players would be some of the few innocents left in town trying to survive.
PCs:
5. Ambush:
The Wapasha people are reluctantly working with the settlers against the Posse, but the alliance is very tense. A group of Wapasha and settlers set out to meet with someone who promises to give them the power to fight the Posse more effectively. When they meet, however, it's a trap, and three lesser membes of the Posse ambush the group (Arda Green, Virgil R. Haynes, and Linda "the Knife" Gayle). Players would be settlers and Wapasha fighting to survive.
PCs:
6. Revival:
A big tent has gone up in the ruins of Chaparral. People come from miles around for the faith revival, expecting a bit of peace and quiet. What they find is Wraith Bullock of the Black Sash Posse leading a special kind of revival.
PCs:
7. Sin and Vice:
Sin and Vice is the name of the biggest, most expensive brothel in Paradise. It's run by Rosella Sin and Ambrosia Vice, two Black Sash Posse leaders, who have incredible powers. They have seduced and controlled the entire power structure of the city. Many of the girls in the brothel are enslaved Wapasha women, however, and the local commoners turn to the Wapasha for help.
PCs:
8. Shadows Come to Lazarus:
The shadowy beings in Unknown have spread, and people fear to travel. The small town of Lazarus is another ghost town in the area where a showdown is taking place between the legendary Walker Pryce, evilest killer in the area, and the broken but powerful Father Abyssus. Players would be followers of Abyssus who try to help him face the shadows and Walker.
PCs:
9. Round Up:
After a few months of tormenting them, George Rust of the Black Sash Posse has decided to round up the entire town of Morgan's Point and massacre them with his gatling gun. These include the Wapasha slaves kept by some of the richer members of the town. Players would be Wapasha raiding to rescue their own.
PCs:
10. Swankiller:
Jesse Braide was the last member of the Black Sash Posse to join up, and he has become a favorite of their leader, Randall. He's been given a special gun, a revolver called Swankiller. Some say this gun is capable of destroying souls, and Braide, often in an opium-induced stupor, loves to use it on children. Players would be Wapasha warriors who have lured him out of his home in Big Water, where he killed their children.
PCs:
11. Hanging Day:
Since the Posse took over, the hanging days in Grim have turned into days to kill innocents, especially Wapasha fighters and local resistance. A mix of both raid on hanging day to save their own, often clashing with each other as well. Players would be members of both groups facing off with Mr. Guilt, the hang man and local leader of the Posse.
PCs:
12. Salvation:
It all comes back to the strange settlers in Salvation, the shadows gathering in the valley, and Randall Crow and his black and white revolvers. Players would be from previous arcs.
