| Description | Bismuth dwarves have hair of a dozen violent colors at once. Their skin is usually rough tan or soft brown, and their eyes are never the same color for both eyes. Sometimes they change as they age. They stand about 3.5' to 4.5' tall, and they are stout and broad-shouldered. |
| Procreation | With each other. Half-dwarves are not possibly without esoteric intervention. |
| Esoterica | Dwarves are aetherial beings, born from the earthpower imbuing the stones they are crafted from. Bismuth dwarves are beings of cacophony and arnum. They are capable of using any other supernatural energies except euphony or radiance, but msawhat is rare and often corrupts and destroys them. Divine energies, other forms of aether (especially white tiger), ethereal energy, Foundation, dumaqu, infernum, poioumenon, Damaskian power, and mashoaab are all very common. |
| Special Powers | Bismuth dwarves' aetherial power gives them echolocation, the power to sense cave-ins, and metalworking skills. They gain from mining and smithing aetherial powers and from their ceremonies of noise cacophonous ones. They often have a wail that can cause cave-ins or avallanches, sharp claws on their hands, and the ability to shape stone or metal with their voices. All dwarves are known for their steady feet, their inborn toughness, and their shrewdness. |
| Weaknesses | Msawhat can corrupt and destroy them. Bismuth dwarves are also weak to euphony. |
| Culture | Bismuth dwarves live in a fractured society made up on many different tribes that hate each other. They dwell in mountain caves and have ever-shifting territories where they fight over resources. The thane of the bismuth dwarves is often a short-lived position because of the tendencies toward violence and assassination, but it is also a very powerful position and much craved. Families are rare. Most leave their children to their own survival, and the children are raised by those who think they can gain from having a servant. This has created de facto orphanage-schools that raise most bismuth dwarves, and child-finding is a common job at these schools. They also buy children from powerful dwarves if necessary. At these schools, children are taught to serve and work, but special children are selected for leadership roles. Sometimes, the children rebel and kill their teachers and keepers. The religious among bismuth dwarves have incredible power in society and are much feared, as they use dwarven sacrifice as a tool of control. The screams of the dying empower them. They are at war with the thane and the thane's servants, and the back and forth between them is one of the biggest rivalries in their society. |
| Crafts | Bismuth dwarves are miners and metal-workers, but their most well known and revered craft is nailsmithing. They make nails of all kinds, spikes, studs, screws, fasteners, and stakes. They fashion them and use them in every device and construction, and the making of them gives them aetherial power. Every nail made is then used to make a violent screeching sound to further empower the making, making nailsmiths very powerful among their society. Miners are other metal-workers also have great power, but saboteurs are the other great craft in bismuth dwarf society. They cause avallanches and cave-ins, assassinations and mass murders, and they gain incredible powers in doing so. The thane is usually a powerful saboteur. |
