| Special Powers | Bendi are very strong. They have massive tusks (which impede somewhat their speech--hence their use of telepathy instead). Bendi cannot dive too deeply, but they are feared where they dive for their prowess underwater. They are said to be able to psionically connect to the aurora borealis, and they have the potent and mysterious ability to alter the mental landscape of another being so thoroughly that they change physically--into a bendus. |

| Weaknesses | Senility kills them quickly. Orcas often hunt them. They cannot dive very deep. |
| Culture | Bendi society is migratory and cyclical. They spend part of the year up north, rutting and eating little, then they migrate south and raise the young. They share everything mentally, and therefore, do very little speaking except during the rutting times, when they compete vocally for mates. Because of their telepathic links, other races often find them rude. |
