Description Bauxite dwarves are 3' to 4.5' tall, with stout bodies and broad shoulders. They have hair of many hues of brown, eyes of creamy white, and skin that is pale. Beards and braids are commonly worn.
Procreation With each other. Half-dwarves are not possibly without esoteric intervention.
Esoterica Dwarves are aetherial beings, born from the earthpower imbuing the stones they are crafted from. Bauxite dwarves are also beings of loyalty resonance and hegnh. They are capable of using any other supernatural energies, but msawhat is rare and often corrupts and destroys them. Divine energies, other forms of aether (especially white tiger), ethereal energy, Foundation, dumaqu, poioumenon, Damaskian power, and mashoaab are all very common.
Special Powers

Bauxite dwarves' aetherial power allows them to shape stone and see in the dark. Their resonant and hegnhic powers allow them to sense how much effort is required for a job, create protective charms, and judge perfect measurements. The resonance can be especially difficult to manage in great quantities, so they take up special projects to release it.

All dwarves are known for their steady feet, their inborn toughness, and their shrewdness.

Weaknesses Msawhat can corrupt and destroy them.
Culture

Bauxite dwarves work in stone and wood and aluminum. Barrel-making became a central part of their economy when the world outside of their nations learned of their quality. Miners, metal workers, and masons are also major crafts. They are much interested in work, and they have powerful unions that protect the workers. Union leaders are elected by the workers, and the union leaders influence the town councils, which elect a thane every 100 years.

Bauxite dwarven families are craft-centered. Every family has a job they favor and train their children to do, and those who do not wish to do so are often adopted by other families. Union schools take up their education when they are ready to enter the workforce, usually at young ages. Civic duties, community needs, and anything outside the work of making things is left to special unions that have less power than those of the makers. Resonance comes from loyalty to one's union and family, and hegnh is gained when their works are used as protection for the community or for individuals.

Crafts

Barrel-making is the main money maker, but less power comes from it in terms of aether or hegnh. Barrel-makers are very powerful because of their money, and they are often at odds with their own union.

Masons and miners are closely allied and powerfully aetherial. They have a lot of sway in the community, and they are crucial to the other industries and communities.
