Said by some to be the King of All Serpents due to its crown-like crest, the basilisk is a large snake-like creature whose gaze petrifies those who meet it.

It is hatched by a cockerel nesting a serpent's egg. Hatchlings leave trails of venomous ooze in their wake.

Weasels are immune to the basilisks' attacks, & the crow of a rooster is known to kill a basilisk instantly.

Adults range in size from 10' to 200' depending on age, living conditions and parentage.
