| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, dragons grow to be a cross between avian, mammalian, and reptilian in appearance--large, white beasts with soft, cream colored wings tipped with azure, magenta and violet feathered strands. They have long tails, also tipped with feathered strands, and they have avian faces. Still, their underbellies are azure scales, and their backs have colorful scales. |
| Procreation | Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching. |

All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects. Other common powers include manastorm, no tiring, reflect spell, dispell, heart bonding, understand ceremony, and wild surge at will. |

| Subspecies | Mana dragons are azure dragons with more mana than most. They are completely azure in color and have burning mana tendrils flowing off them. Their powers are greatly improved from their brethren, and they can use spellweaving. |
| Culture | Azure dragons live in flowering forests is the islands of Gyrah, where they frolic and play amongst the leys. They lay their eggs in giant flowers and each egg is tended by their parents until mature. They live in small communities led by an elected leader who changes every millennium. Every azure dragon has a sphere they have an affinity for, and they use their magical powers in this sphere for the good of the community. They usually have monogamous mating pairs, but some don't. In old age, they are respected elders until their deaths. |
