A male medusa, bound to a greenstone, Azath is a mysterious figure. He joined the service of the Champion of Famine in the Dark Age before the Age of Pillars, but he never earned immortality. He simply remains hale and healthy, if a little thin. His choice to serve has never been explained, nor does he talk of his past before service. He also never tells where his greenstone is, but few expect him to. He has never taken time to visit it, though, either. He serves without question, and even though he learned the Marshall's secret, he follows anyway. He has recently been approached by a strange hermit seeking his assistance on a matter involving an ancient elf.
