Dionysus The places still open are not always pleasant, & some ar eutterly fascinating
Dionysus It's a more magical place at night
Dionysus And a colder one
- Aurelia dresses warmly.
- Aurelia wanders wherever something attracts her attention, often stopping to stare in awe.
Dionysus A man steps up next to you. "It is not safe for a woman to be out alone at night, you know."
- Aurelia blinks at the man and puts a hand on Kashaji's shoulder. "I am not alone."
Aurelia What does he feel like?
Dionysus He glances down at the dhole, then back at you, "A fine hound, that." He feels lustful, greedy, & now a little nervous.
Dionysus "Perhaps you wouldbe interested in accompanying me for a while? Perhaps I might suggest that I am in need of company, worried as I am for safety?"
Aurelia "There is still more of the tapestry to see."
Dionysus "Tapestry?"
- Aurelia gestures. "This place. A maze of cloth and color."
Dionysus He looks around. Roll awareness.

Dionysus You see his hands move near to you, but you're not sure what happened.
Aurelia What part of me?
Dionysus Your side, near your waist.
- Aurelia puts a hand to that side and takes a step back from the man.
Dionysus The man smiles at you. "So no company for poor little me?"
Dionysus Kashaji growls.
Dionysus The man's eyes grow wide & he starts away. "Goodnight, then."
Aurelia Is anything missing or disturbed?
Dionysus No, he seems to have failed to thieve from you
- Aurelia watches him leave, eyes wide.
Dionysus As you continue, you see a strange looking shop off to the side, in an alley, but it catches your eye for the riot of colors all over it.
- Aurelia is drawn towards it.
Aurelia Like a moth to flame.
Dionysus Do you speak Windkin?
Aurelia Mmm, nope
Aurelia Low Atanaxan is my only local language, I think.
Dionysus The sign is illegible, but the wares are strange. Jars of white powder, religious relics, animal parts, strange items you can't understand.
Aurelia Unless there are reevers or ogres or nightingales or sommat about.
Dionysus Afraid not
- Aurelia pauses just inside, looking about curiously.
Dionysus An old Windkin woman sits by, knitting.
Dionysus She doesn't look up.
Aurelia Is there anything particularly shiny or intriguing?
Dionysus Yes. Everything.
- Aurelia wanders the rest of the way in and begins looking at a jar of something bright here, an oddly shaped relic there.
Dionysus "That's the bones of St. August in that jar. And that is the Trevorian Cross there."
Aurelia "They shine."
Dionysus "They are powerful. They hold the might of faith still. What deity do you honor, sir?"
- Aurelia pauses, nearly letting the jar slip, and turns to look at the woman with tilted head.
Aurelia What does she feel like?
Dionysus Like a merchant looking to make a sale.
Aurelia "I am no sir."
Dionysus "My apologies. I cannot see, only hear."
- Aurelia relaxes a touch. "The Mother of Vision and Beauty."
Dionysus "One Mother or two?"
Aurelia "One?"
Dionysus "Ahh, yes, indeed. Do you know of St. Calliope?"
Aurelia Do I?
Dionysus You probably know that she was the First Muse & the First High Priestess, but not much more than that
Aurelia "The First Muse."
Dionysus She nods, "Well, she was known to wear armor like the Tenzanese warriors wear, oddly enough, did you know?" Prolly not
Dionysus "Look back there," she points.
Dionysus There's an old helmet in the Tenzanese style there.
- Aurelia begins to speak aloud for the blind woman's benefit, and stops.
- Aurelia looks at the helmet.
Aurelia Is there anything apparently special about it?

Dionysus There's a few strands of hair hanging from it.
- Aurelia touches them curiously. What color? How long?
Dionysus Dark black, very long.
Dionysus "They are hers."
Aurelia Does she feel honest?
Dionysus Yes.
Aurelia "What do you wish for them..?"
Dionysus "They are quite priceless. Prayer by the relic of a saint is more powerful than prayer alone, in these times. You could do much with those. What would you offer for them that might be equal to the hair of the First Muse?"
Aurelia "Feathers that burn. Scales that Shine. A card given by a storyteller, to be read in a time of need. The blessing of a Walker."
Dionysus "A Gifted Card? A blessing from a Walker? Both quite useful, yes. Which are you willing to give up?"
- Aurelia takes the card from her bag and holds it out.
Dionysus She snatches it away. "Take the hairs. They will make your prayers that much more potent, /girl/."
Aurelia What is her tone there?
Dionysus On /girl/? Knowing.
Aurelia That is, is she just emphasizing the word or snapping?
Dionysus Just emphasizing
Aurelia Ok.
Aurelia And takes the hairs carefully from the helmet before retreating.
Dionysus They give +7 faith.
Dionysus Vision faith.
Aurelia Jinkies.
Aurelia This reminds me to note, as I didn't figure that before she could actually do anything, a part of Aurelia's nightly prayers is for the removal what makes her ugly, and her morning preparations a prayer that she remain beautiful through the day.
Arsul_T that is so sad
Dionysus Noted.
Aurelia Haha.
- Aurelia probably heads back to the inn after that.
Dionysus Noted.
Aurelia After having Kashaji eat the scary woman.
Dionysus When you leave the shop, if you look back, it isn't there.
- Aurelia does look back, and is even further unsettled by that.
