Dionysus As you pass through the door, a voice says, "What is your worth?" The room you are in is a small chamber in front of a huge vault-door.
Arlie_B "I measure my worth in how I close I live true to my beliefs. I'm worth more than most, less than some."
Dionysus The door swings open, slowly, revealing a treasure room beyond your imagining.
Arlie_B wow.
- Arlie_B advances towards it if only to look.
Dionysus Mountains of treasure stand in here, coins, jewels, jewelry, clothing, armor, weapons... You see a wedding dress of soldi gold leaves, a staff leaning against the wall, a Srisian helmet sitting atop a suit of redsteel chainmail, a few rings, a spellbook, a dragonsteel sabre, a tiara on a stand, a portrait of the most beautiful woman you've ever laid eyes on on the wall (20' by 10'), a pitch black violin
Dionysus , & in the midst of it all, a chunk of black rock--clearly void.
- Arlie_B casts detect magic
Dionysus The staff is vision enchanted. A ring is knowledge. The spellbook has a minor meta-magic spell on it (not unusual), but is otherwise mundane (except for the contents, of course). The tiara is healing enchanted. The violin is death enchanted. A vial you did not notice emanates healing magic, a stone that didn't stand out emantates harvest.
Dionysus The tiara, violin, & vial are the strongest. The stone is next.
Arlie_B how strong is the healing?
Dionysus The sabre, by the way, has that faint touch of dragon magic all dragonsteel items have.
Dionysus Both are a little under Gifted.
Dionysus The chainmail has a touch of earth magic, like all redsteel items have.
Dionysus So for the sabre & chainmail, it's not a spell, just inherent mystical nature. It explains why they're such good metals.
Arlie_B I know Arsul baffles healing priests. Could the vial or the tiara heal him?
Dionysus You'd have to cast a spell to understand the spells better.
Arlie_B what is derive intent?
Arlie_B for magic?
Dionysus Depends on the spell yer casting at. You'd have to cast a spell to understand their complexity first, beyond just power. Derive complexity is a 16.
Arlie_B the healing on the magic to the vial or the tiara is just below Gift?
Dionysus Both
- Arlie_B takes it all in. Any trumpets?
Dionysus Nope.
Dionysus Well, no visible.
Dionysus There might be some buried in the other treasure.
Arlie_B Arlie will grab the vial first, see if anything happens, then goes looking for other treasure while the detect magic is still active.
Dionysus Grab as in pick up?
Arlie_B yes
