Amphbian Folk
Animal folk based on amphibians. These are some of the broad categories and major nations of amphibian folk:
Frog Folk: known for their use of psychedelic chemicals in their rituals (dream energy)
- Yayui (poison dart frog) (tupi word for frog+plural pronoun): the largest nation of frog folk, in the rain forests of Palhur
- Sahona (green mantella) (malagasy word for frog): perhaps the oldest nation of frog folk, on the island of Basuri off the coast of Taggarus
Toad Folk: known for their xenophobic, purist behavior (feirua)
- K'ayra: (south american red-belly toad) (quechua word for toad): the oldest remaining nation of toad folk, living in small, isolated tribes in the mountains of Palhur
- Chanchu: (common chinese tree frog) (chinese for toad): the largest toad nation in the world, living in walled cities in Dabusen
Newt Folk: known for their use of aetherial arts (viridian aether), they are also known as salamander people, but "newt" is usually used as "salamander" has an association with fire elementals because of Jesenyan alchemical traditions
- Uhandrea (european brook newt) (basque word for newt): the most well known nation of newt folk, they live in and around the western mountains of Jesenya
- Triturus (marbled newt) (based on scientific name): a very powerful nation of newt folk on the continent of Wymmera
Caecilian Folk: the one major caecilian nation exists in the Island Bridge (ikehua lyua pele); caecilian folk are rare simply because the animal rarely inspires imitation
- Guspecean: (common caecilian) (unknown word origin): this obscure nation lives on a small string of islands close to Palhur
