Esoterica Dwarves are aetherial beings, born from the earthpower imbuing the stones they are crafted from. Amber dwarves are also beings of hegnh, sap (blood), and qi energy. They are capable of using any other supernatural energies, but msawhat is rare and often corrupts and destroys them. Divine energies, other forms of aether (especially greenlight), ethereal energy, Foundation, dumaqu, arnum, poioumenon, Damaskian power, and mashoaab are all very common.
Special Powers

Amber dwarves' aetherial power grants them tilling skill and understanding of the fertility of soil. Their powers of hegnh, sap, and qi helps them understand nourishment. The gain these powers from working with the soil and earth to farm and mill and till, and from sharing and supporting one another, and they gain powers over their crops, the ability to shape earth and stone, and a connection to the land.

All dwarves are known for their steady feet, their inborn toughness, and their shrewdness.

Weaknesses Msawhat can corrupt and destroy them. Amber dwarves are also are affected by arnic powers of denial and frustration.
Culture

Amber dwarves live in large farming communities. They have huge farmsteads where generations live together, and everyone takes care of all the chores and tasks together. Every farmstead is an independent community that answers only to a council in the county, which answers to a council that helps coordinate a nation of independent clans. Every clan is represented by a group of families, which can have farmsteads across counties. This can complicate things. The nation is run by an elected thane who renounces clan and family to be independent.

Clans are composed of intrarelated families, often through marriages and sometimes adoptions, and they answer to their own elders. Within a county, which is made up of farmsteads, the council is made up of representatives from each farmstead, no matter what clan it is a member of. Some counties can be run by an entire clan, and others can have representatives of many clans. From the county councils are elected representatives sent to the national council. Everyone, however, votes on thane.

The thane maintains the rolls of property lines, water rights, and trading agreements, and is thus often very unpopular. Neutrality is required in the position, but the thane's past is often used against them in order to denounce decisions. As such, the thane enforces decisions with a small force made of carefully chosen neutral guards. These guards are a traditional unit belonging to a family long since lost on the rolls because they intentionally renounced clan and county generations ago.

The religious groups among the amber dwarves are responsible for the various seasonal festivals that ensure a great harvest every year. These festivals are held in the spring, in midsummer, and during the harvest season, and members of every family send representatives to help run and organize them. These members are trained their whole lives in the faith.

Crafts

Farmers are the main craftsmen among amber dwarves. They work with the soil, with plants, and with the nourishment of the community. They gain incredible powers from the plants, from the earth, and from the sharing of food. The side work involved in farming--crafting tools, cooking, making baskets and barrels and other recepticles, tending animals, and so on--are skills taught to younger amber dwarves. As they master skills and grow older, they are slowly brought into the farming craft by their elders.

Millers grind the grain and work with stone and water. Their work is essential to making the grains usable, and they are revered in the community. Working with the grains and the stone grants them great power as well. They also end up with some currents aether, which gives them odd insight into the ways water works.

Terraformers are the rarest craftsfolk among amber dwarves, but they work with the land in great and powerful ways, shaping it to be usable by the farmers and millers. They are revered, and their roles are considered so important rival clans will not harm them even in the worst of times.
