| Description | Females with large goose wings & bird legs. Older alkonosts lose their arms & merely have wings. They have bills, though these are not very strong. Their feathers are brilliantly colored. |

| Special Powers | Alkonosts have sweet voices that lift worries from anyone who hears them. Their voices are never forgotten. For this reason, some think of them as nightingales, but they are not related. They can absorb worries without using their voices, but with their hands. Their feathers are very soft and good for rolling off water. Alkonosts lay their eggs on the seashore, where the water will pull them into the sea. This calms the seas until the eggs hatch, which then brings a storm. They can enter the Promised Land and bring back messages once a year. |
