Back during the early days of Belle Point, it was envisioned as a port city. During those days, many immigrants would enter whatever empire or nation Belle Point was part of at the time and settle in, avoiding the bigger ports to avoid the troubles they heard of. Of course, other troubles found them, but by then, it was too late. When the elves got the upper hand on the continent of Ailanea, the surface dwarves left in droves, settling in other areas when they could, and taking a fair number of gnomes with them. Hence, Akazad Alley and Burzene Street.

Akazad Alley is bounded by Seashore Drive to the north, Burzene Street to the south, Glimmer Avenue to the east, and University Avenue to the west.
