Beliefs:
Baurkhan (Church of the Caverns, Akazadian): The universe is one great mountain, a massive stone, and we are all within a great cavern within it. It is solid, one piece, and stoic. It cares, but it does not show it. So should we be. We work, first and foremost, we craft our cavern and we do what we will with the space we are given, but we do not change it truly or permanently. We are as hard as rocks, unphaseable. We are the bedrock from which everything springs. We are layered, but one whole. Each layer is another aspect, and the crust, the outer layer, is what we show to the world.
The stones most sacred to the Religion of the Stones are flint (the king), granite (the commonest), coal (the power source), schist (the soldier), lodestone (the mystic), shale (the craftsman), gneiss (the shield), and potash (the brigand).
Afterlife:
From the earth they are born and unto the earth they return. Once a follower of the Akazadian faith dies, they believe their souls return to the earth as well, fusing with rock and stone, earth and loam, dust and dirt to become part of the world.
