Aelsan knights stand out among Jesenyan knights for their sincere faith. Many other countries see their knights become political agents, corrupted, rich landowners, etc., but ancient laws in
Aeslaw prevent noble knights in Aeslan from owning property or engaging in politics. In fact, they may even ignore the country's laws if those laws go against the code of
chivalry. As such, these knights are generally mocked and considered weaker and lesser, when in point of fact they are some of the most able knights in the region.
The most common vows taken by an Aeslan knight are to either
the Shepherdess,
the Swan Mother,
the Goddess of the Left Hand,
Protector of the Hearth, [[or
the Valorous Divine.
Unfortunately, many Aeslan knights answer the call by the
Pontiff of Sacra Vitta to engage in the
Crusades.
Notable Aeslan knights:
- Sir Bartusz: knight who serves the Valorous and is known for his feats of glory
- Sir Olrzyk: knight in the Crusades who changed sides and fought against the Crusaders
- Sir Walcerz: saint of the Shepherdess who embodied the virtues of Sanctuary and Justice.
