Lore

Lores are knowledge rather than skills, information, subsets of data or stories that are known by the character. Some examples include the following:
  • Ancient Lore: lore of the most ancient tales and stories from before the current iteration of the world.
  • Current Events: knowing about the news, what's going on in the world.
  • Dragon Lore: understanding how dragons work and what their stories are.
  • Economics: an understanding of economics, commerce, and exploitation.
  • Esoteric Lore: lore about how magic works.
  • Faerie Lore: lore of the fey and fairies, of the realm of Faerie, and how they work.
  • Folklore: the various stories and legends of the wider world believed by the common folk.
  • Geography: knowledge of the local region or world geography.
  • History: general knowledge of what has come before.
  • Legends and Tales: general knowledge of legends around the world or locally.
  • Mathematics: knowing any level of math.
  • Religion: either an understanding of religion and how it works or of a specific religion and how it works.
  • Science: any scientific knowledge, either general or specific.
But anything that has history, legends, or information to be understood can be a lore the character may have.
