A bit of geography.

Bays and Inlets

  • Baia di Molti: the bay of many waters between Ginocchia and the north.
  • Baie Tombee: the bay west of Andato that is mostly Terreblantian territorial waters.
  • Baia Verde: the green waters south of Alveo.

Channels

  • Canale Antincendio: the channel between Delleceneri and the mainland, scarred with ash.
  • Canale Canto: the channel between Delleceneri and Dellesire, where sirens live.
  • Canale Lungo: the channel between Improsandalo and Delleceneri, Dellesire and Trepunti, the long inner channel.
  • Canale Maggiore: the channel between Dellesire and Trepunti, the most navigable inner channel.
  • Canale Meridionale: the channel between Delleceneri and Improsandalo, the southern channel.
  • Canale Nord: the channel between Trepunti and hte mainalnd, the northern stretch.
  • Canale Rossi: the red channels around Postodolce.
    • Primo Canale Rosso: the first channel, north of Postodolce.
    • Secondo Canale Rosso: the second channel, east of Postodolce.
    • Terzo Canale Rosso: the third channel, south of Postodolce.
    • Quarto Canale Rosso: the fourth channel, west of Postodolce.
  • Canale Sicuro: the channel between Improsandalo and the mainland, the widest channel.
  • Canale Spaventoso: the channel between Dellesire and the mainland, known for its choppy waters, hidden shallows, and rocky sections.
  • Canale Superiore: the short channel on the northeast edge of Trepunti, coming off north from Postodolce.

Forests

  • Foresta Buona: the woodlands around Rotondo, the riparian forest.
  • Foresta Pineta: a thick pine forest along the northern edge of the foot hills and southern edge of the mountains, between Cenpianu and Alveo.
  • Foresta Prima: pure elemental forest around the Via Tomaia, south of Rotondo and north of Lupposto. Home to the great wolves.
  • Foresta Tremante: the haunted forest, the Forest of Shivering Trees, around and mostly north of Cantora.
  • Foresta Vetra: fey, glass forest

Grasslands

  • Pianure Ampie: the steppes below the Piedmonte.
  • Pianure Aperta: the beautiful plains of the east, below the Fiume Stellato and Fiume Vecchio.
  • Pianure Nette: the open plains around Ontano, the wide, sunny expanse near the Via Stella.

Highways

The highways were built during the days of the Talunese Empire and still stand.
  • Via Centrale: the road between Fiorire and Allettare.
  • Via Corta: the road between Tregua and Barbantica.
  • Via Est: the road between Laccio, Scudola, and Santamaria.
  • Via Grande: the coastal road between Lupposto, Nuoposto, and Cantora.
  • Via Lunga: the long road from Assembratta, Fiorire, Tregua, to Santamaria.
  • Via Nord: the north road between Andato and Montacqua.
  • Via Paluda: the swamp road between Cenpainu and Barbantica.
  • Via Stella: the star road between Rotondo, Ontano, and Piapperto.
  • Via Tomaia: the road from Lupposto to Ontano to Fortebianco to Montacqua.

Hills

  • Piedmonte: the hill lands just south of the Montagne Bianche, the massive sprawling rural region.

Islands

  • Isole Spezzate: the full name of the islands that separate the Conosciutean Sea from the Mezzoregnan Sea, as they appear to have been split from each other and the mainland.
  • Delleceneri: the island of ash, the island of Violabruccia and Moltionda, the southernmost island.
  • Dellesire: central northern island.
  • Improsandalo: southern island where Falciare is.
  • Postodolce: island where Camino is, the easternmost island of the cluster. Known for it sweet grapes.
  • Sacra Vitta: the island upon which the capital of the imperial church is located.
  • Trepunti: largest of the islands, where Sboccciare is.

Lakes

  • Lago Circolare: the circle lake in the mountains.
  • Lago d'Argento: the silver lake of Cenpianu.
  • Lago Profondo: the deep lake of Dellesire.

Mountain Ranges

  • Montagne Alte: the small mountains around Allettare from which they view the stars.
  • Montagne Bianche: the massive mountain chain north of Talune.
  • Montagne Fiamme: the burning mountains of the islands.
  • Montagne Reale: the royal mountains, once ruled by an ancient Re between the time of the empire and the rise of the city-states; east of Fiorire.

Rivers

  • Fiume Cadente: the river from the mountains into Alveo.
  • Fiume Calcola: the legendary river running through Lupposto.
  • Fiume Calda: the island river on Trepunti.
  • Fiume Maggiore: the great river running from Cenpianu to Assembratta.
  • Fiume Mostro: the river of monsters running from the east, through Barbantica and down through Fiorire, into the Conosciutean Sea.
  • Fiume Nero: the black river running through Fortebianco.
  • Fiume Pigra: the short river that runs through Nuoposto.
  • Fiume Stellato: the river of stars that runs through Allettare.
  • Fiume Vecchio: the eastern river at the mouth of which Santamaria lies.
  • Fiume Verde: the green river of Ginocchia and Rotondo.

Seas

  • Conosciutean Sea: the inner sea.
  • Flussian Sea: the western sea.
  • Gremboni Sea: the eastern sea.
  • Mezzoregnan Sea: the southern sea, connects to the Wyren Ocean further south.

Volcanoes

  • Camino: the quieter but not quiet volcano of Postodolce.
  • Violobrucia: the violent volcano of Delleceneri.

Wetlands

  • Palude Bassa: low swamp near Andato.
  • Palude de Viti: the massive swamps of Piapperto.
  • Palude Umida: the wetlands through which the Via Paluda runs.
