Dionysus: The next morning, you are awakened by a knock on the door.
Taka blinks. "Come in?"
Dionysus: The door opens & the High Priest of Truth steps in.
Taka flattens her ears slightly, but offers him a respectful bow regardless.
Dionysus: He bows slightly in return. "Well? What have you learned?"
Taka: "I doubt you'll like this answer anymore than you did the last time you asked...mostly because I don't know how to put it into words."
Dionysus: He nods, "Just try."
Taka sighs. "Since the last time we spoke...I honestly don't know. I don't even know what I'm supposed to be learning."
Dionysus: "So few ever do. This is a start. Tell me, when is deception justified?"
Taka lowers her ears slightly in thought. "If the truth would endanger more lives than it would save, harm more than it would heal, I would consider that justification."
Dionysus: "How do you measure that? How do you know?"
Taka: "I can only use my own judgement, or that of one that I trust to know more of the situation than I. It's not an easy decision to make, nor should it be."
Dionysus: "I know you believe that, but do you practice it?"
Taka: "I try to. Whether I succeed or not, only Thousand-tails knows."
Dionysus: "When you snuck into my temple & let the beast shatter our mirrors, do you feel you succeeded?"
Taka: "I do not. Had I known that was what it had intended, I would have asked for some less-harmful diversion at the very least, or sought a different method of completing my task."
Dionysus: He nods. "You are learning, I think." He pauses, "Reflect upon the lies & truths in your life, young lady. There is much you can learn. I have duties to attend, but I wanted to talk with you before the day got more hectic. My office is [he gives a location]. I will always listen."
Taka nods slightly. "...thank you."
Dionysus: He leaves.
Taka stares at the door, a bit confused, for a moment, then sighs softly and starts her usual morning routine.
Dionysus: Not long after, another knock at your door.
Taka blinks. "C'min..."
Dionysus: A man in white livery walks in.
Dionysus: He's a large man with a big sword strapped to his side.
Dionysus: "So you're the Berellian, eh?" he says gruffly.
Taka: [is that direct, or no?]
Dionysus: Yes
Taka blinks again. "Er...yeah, why?"
Dionysus: "I'm Count Nothhelm of Vyekh. Heard of me?" He was once Berellian, tried to start a rebellion, forced to flee, came to Maraddon where his race madehim a nobleman.
Taka nods. "I have."
Dionysus: "Whether the throne comes to me or no, I intend to free Dhun one day."
Dionysus: Dhun is an old nation that used to be in part of Berellia.
Taka just nods, wondering if he's wanting her help with something, or just wanted to talk to someone from the Old Country.
Dionysus: "If you live to make it back, tell the old fools that for me, will you?"
Taka nods again. "All right."
Dionysus: He looks you up & down, his face showing pure disgust now. "The Mother of Light will scourge the nation of your kind. Have a good day, miss." He walks out.
Taka flicks an ear, watching him go and thinking to herself, 'huh. interesting fellow. I hope a piano falls on him.'
Dionysus: That's about all I can think of for Taka right now, I'm afraid.
