Beliefs:
Hurshul (Church of the Clockmaker, Counters): Time is constantly flowing, and our measurement of it is the only way to understand it. The nature of the universe is the flow of time. Time defines space (it takes an hour to get from a to be, for instance). All we have is time, and it is to be revered and carefully measured.
Omar-Hurshul (Church of the Prophet, Watcherians): Time is constantly flowing, and our management of it depends on our understanding of what has past. Watch what happens now with that understanding and you understand what comes next. History is vastly important, and repeating history is folly. All we have is time, and it is to be understood and recorded so we might keep it fresh and new.
Afterlife:
When a follower of the Historians dies, they believe, they enter into a waiting place. There, they recount their entire History, which is recorded in the Divine Book. If they have served History well, they are allowed to read the Book and gain enlightenment. If they have been flawed, they fade into History, to become part of the fabric of Time itself. All will be remembered, though, in the Histories Divine.
