Cosmic Faiths

Faiths that focus on the stars or other cosmic entities or beings.

Astrology

The movement and positions of the stars guide people through life, especially the positions of certain constellations as coincides with one’s birth or current circumstances.

Cosmic Polytheism

The broad worship of cosmic entities as guides, sources of energy, life, or symbols of the universe and its wonders, this has many variations, usually focusing on different entities, but many simply worship the Father Cosmos (sometimes paired with Mother Life or Mother Chaos) or some variation thereof.

Galactic Toads

Galactic toads are vast cosmic entities who leap through the universe, and those who worship them believe them to be messengers of Father Cosmos whose wanderings teach their followers where and when to be, and what is important.

Krousian Meteorite Worship

Meteors are messengers and bringers of life, sources of energy and power, and one must honor them and their sites of impact to be worthy and protected from the universe’s might.

Kyel Star Cluster

A cluster of stars that were once a nation of elves on Shem, they ascended and now guide the flow of energies to the world. Those who honor them do so by understanding how energies flow and attuning ot them.

Nebula Worship

Worship of nebulae is a form of cosmic worship that focuses on the unknown and unknowable, on the immensity of the cosmos, and on the forms and figures of nebulae and their implied spiritual forms (i.e., spirits based on how the nebulae are named).

Planet Worship

Planets represent different deities in a complex pantheon that views them as political forces working against, with, or alongside one another. It is a constant dance that shows the complexity of the universe, the solar system, and life.

Space Worms

There are vast cosmic worms moving through the cosmos, and some worship them, believing them to be passages to a paradise.

Shriving

A monastic tradition of releasing all connections to reality in order to become one with the universe.

Religions based on the moons or aspects of them.

Moon Worship

The three moons as Mati, Devica, Krona (Mother, Maiden, Crone), the phases of life, the cyclical nature of the universe, and embodiment of the moons. A nature/feminist religion focused on when to do things (full moons for hunting, new moons for rest) and protection of ancient traditions. Often mixed with ancestor worship or broader cosmic or nature faiths.
Green Moon

Those who specify the Green Moon as their center of worship view her as a more general nature spirit, an innocent figure who brings renewal and healing, but also can be turbulent and dangerous. A mixture of seasonal worship and lunar faith.
Grey Moon

Those who specify the Grey Moon as their center of worship view her as Mati, Devica, and Krona all in one, but otherwise are very similar to wider moon worship. They are especially focused on hunting as a sacred practice.
White Moon

Those who specify the White Moon as their center of worship view her as a teacher, an elder who shows them the way. They learn from her by following her example, working with her, and through scientific experimentation and exploration.

Night Spirits

Secretive spirits of the dark and the night guide those of this faith. They are protectors, teachers, and psychopomps who present the darkness as a blanket, a shield, a test, and a place of comfort.

Rippling

The pilgrims who seek to go to all of the lunar rilles and travel them believe the rilles are ancient carvings of powerful spirits, and visiting them gives the insights into the universe.

Other Nature Religions

Religions that focus on other aspects of nature.

Akh Spiritualism

The understanding that all souls deserve safe passage to the Gates of Mortality and Divinity on the far side of the Nether Realm, where they must make a choice as to their afterlife. The belief that undeath is an abomination, death is part of life, and the soul is sacrosanct.

Creator Faith

A great being called the Creator took natural law and the elemental chaos and shaped the world. Those who honor him do so by replicating his work.

Cryovolcanism

The raw power of the cryovolcano is reflective of the power of nature, and her mercy and wrath. Appeasing her with sacrifices is of utmost importance.

Druidism

An adherence to the protection of nature and the invocation of natural law. It is a rigid faith that requires respect, devotion, and strength of will.

Faces in the Ice

The gelidine sisters worship figures and faces frozen in deep lunar ice, believing them to be spirits or elementals, and believe deep mysteries and truths lie within them. They take vows of stasis to serve them.

Foveanism

A worship of meteors and the moons are profound and powerful spirits and elementals who are fundamental to life, reflective of the power of the universe, and their union in craters creating sacred sites.

Green Faith

The "ancient nature religion". Nature is fill of spirits (elementals) who are the preservers, protectors, and guides of all life and all things in existence, and they are to be revered and emulated. Nature has cycles and ways that must be honored, and one must be attuned to them and to nature itself.

Lesedian Faith

A worship of Light or the spirits of the Light, it is a religion that values revelation, insight, and vision, that seeks understanding and knows about the flows of energy through the cosmos.

Myconian Faith

All things are connected, and nature and the world must be preserved above all else, for through it we are connected.

Seasonal Cycle

The changing of the seasons represents cycles of life, and the spirits who guide the seasons are integral to life itself. On the moons, this is only prevalent on the Green Moon, where only summer and winter are generally recognized.

Sun Worship

The sun is the source of all energy and life, and her journey through the sky represents the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Honor, truth, hospitality, comfort, and strength are revered. Sometimes called Solism or

Sun/Moons Cycle

Combines lunar and solar faiths.

Sushenny Tree Worship

Trees are sacred, and each individual tree is a figure of worship in and of itself. They all have differing customs and traditions.
