Description Mutumin Kirki appear to be anthropomorphic amalgamations of eland, macaw, lamprey, and gharial. Their bodies configure in different ways, but they always have two legs, two arms, and a tail of some kind. Their face will belong to one of the four animals. Their eyes will always glow multiple colors, and their voices always sound soft, a hushed whisper.
Procreation Mutumin Kirki reproduce in manners similar to the four animals their bodies may mimic, depending on what parts of them come from which animals. As such, they are only reproductively compatible with those who physically match them. They can reproduce, therefore, with some other Mutumin Kirki and some animal folk, but none others. Those born with animal folk are guaranteed to feature the characteristics of that respective animal, but those born of other Mutumin Kirki will have features randomly assigned.
Esoterica Mutumin Kirki are beings of virtue, and they can wield the powers well. They are also commonly users of all forms of hegnh and radiance, Elysian essence, celeste water, and dumaqu. They can use any aetherial energy, but nzwara murazvo is the most common. Emotional resonance and dream energy are also common.
Special Powers

A Mutumin Kirki has four of the following powers:

  • Protection from evil.
  • Merciful touch.
  • Share lifeforce.
  • Share strength.
  • Danger sense.
  • Humble empowerment.
  • Faith bonus.
  • Sense need.
  • Grant wish.
  • Invoke honesty.
  • Grant will bonus.
  • Service bonding.

But each one may only be used once. After a year, they will get a different one.

Service As servitors to Nagani, they may invoke her power by speaking the words mifanaraha tsara. They will answer with their will.
Weaknesses Blasphemy and sin energy harms them.
Culture

The entire culture of the Mutumin Kirki revolves around the 12 virtues. Every Mutumin Kirki chooses to embody one virtue for every month of the year, making sure to embody each one each year. The only ones who keep to a single virtue their whole lives are the 12 children of the Manifest. They represent different facets of Mutumin Kirki society:

  • Sanctuary: the Protectors, the warriors of the nation
  • Mercy: the Caretakers, who tend the children and incurable
  • Kindness: the Gatherers, who do for others what they can't for themselves
  • Prudence: the Guards, the community protectors, the lookouts
  • Constance: the Counsels, who help those in need with advice
  • Humility: the Teachers, who guide the young
  • Piety: the Priesthood, who lead prayers
  • Resilience: the Healers, who heal the sick and wounded
  • Charity: the Keepers, who make sure everyone has what they need
  • Patience: the Scholars, who study the world
  • Service: the Servants, who serve the community in all ways
  • Sincerity: the Judges, who solve communal problems

They may switch roles as needed or wanted. The community leaders are the original 13 Mutumin Kirki (each role-leader and the Manifest), and after them are a council of another 12 elders for each role above. These next are all elected, and their parliament can veto what the original 13 decide.

Children are raised by the caretakers, but everyone in the community helps. At age of 20, they come of age and take on their first role, which rotates each month.

As the only mafi girma with a mother who is free, the Mutumin Kirki devote their time to virtuous living. They welcome strangers and travelers with charity and kindness. They help the weak and infirm with mercy and sanctuary. They bring kindness and humility into their daily lives. And so on.

Religion Mutumin Kirki are deeply devout followers of a complex religion that holds the 12 virtues as the path of righteousness. They worship their mother Nagani and Tsara, who embodies all 12 virtues. They worship every day, praying at dawn and dusk, and they communally pray together every 12 days. On the 13th day, they rest, then their week begins again. Their communal prayers are led by one of the original 12 Mutumin Kirki. Though this is an integral part of their religion, freedom of religion is respected among them. A handful do worship other Divines or have a different view of their faith.
Gender There are 24 genders among the Mutumin Kirki, based on the four animal features they have, which determines their sexual compatibility, but they are not tied to the biological features they have. They may take on a different gender as they please. Gender fluidity is common and celebrated.
Military Their military is made up of 100 Protectors, who serve as an army, and 100 Guards, who serve as city patrols. They are led by the High Protector (virtue of Sanctuary) and the Captain of the Guard (virtue of Prudence). After these leaders, officers are elected.
Other Nations There is only one nation of the Mutumin Kirki, which is a nation of mafi girma.
