| Description | Beautiful mortal women who are revealed before they eat to either have a skull face with broken teeth or animalistic features. They are always wearing white sayona fabric. |

| Esoterica | La sayona are beings of msawhat and black nommos. They have reduced and corrupted versions of the powers they had in life, but none of qi, the gates, or heavenly essences. Many learn new arts in undeath, including those of blood energy, mijjit, Raesian energy, some forms of aether, imperium, gossamer light, shadow, quaestus, thorn energy, some emotional resonances (especially envy and anger), feirua, uafas, Damaskian powers, spirits, kor, symbolism, mystery, and yahas. |
| Special Powers | La sayona cause unease in those who are realize what they are, but usually, they are seen to be beautiful women. Anyone who sees them is attracted to them, drawn to them. If the person attempts to have sex with them, they are able to inflict boils and sores upon them, drain their lifeforce, and eat their flesh. If they are inside a building, they can set it on fire by will. The more people devoured by la sayona, the more powerful they become. They gain new powers, including power over other undead, animals, and plants. |
| Necromancy | To intentionally create a sayona, one must find a woman who is intensely jealous, deceitful, and controlling of her partners, children, etc. (or manipulate someone into being like that), kill her, wrap her in white sayona fabric, and place her in a shallow grace in the deep forests. In six days, she should rise as la sayona. One may also perform a ritual (16) of black nommos and msawhat that tears a woman's True Name into pieces to create one. Controlling a sayona requires using either part of their dress or an image of someone they knew in life. Either will cause them to enter into a violent rage, but still do what the holder asks. To summon one, dirt from her grave must be spread in a circle on the ground and her name invoked six times. To capture her and draw her power, one must go to her grave and lure her in. A medium can channel her if they have a piece of her dress; otherwise she will devour them. |
| Sending | Finding and reburying la sayona's bones is the only way to send them without esoteric powers. |
| Weaknesses | True Names or light of truth are especially effective. Other heavenly essences, qi, or the gates will also send them. |
| Behavior | La sayona appear to people who are not faithful to their partners, to people whom they view as promiscuous, or to people who have multiple partners. She asks for something small, a favor or an simple object, a light or a coin or a ride somewhere. If one gives her this, she will ask them to follow her, taking them to the river, or deep into the woods, or somewhere secluded. She will get naked and seduce her target, then reveal her skull face or animalistic features, attack and consume them. |
