Infernal Magic

Infernal magic is magic that is derived from control, abuse, exploitation, oppression, and terror. It is magic created by people who seek to rule and have dominion over the world. It is said to have originated in the world with an event called the Fall, but some say there were hints of it long before that. It is often split between three categories: infernal, imperial, and industrial.

Infernal, Imperial, Industrial

Infernal magic derives from the metaphysical; it is associated with demons, the Eldritch, the undead, and other entities seen as inherently evil. While inherent evil does not exist, these beings have reached a state via their own actions that have turned them into entities far removed from any goodness they once had.

Imperial magic is the magic of oppression, exploitation, abuse, and control of people by people. It is the magic of ruling and dominating all the peoples of the world, of the ruling classes, from ancient slavocracies to feudal times to capitalist and imperialist eras.

Industrial magic is the magic of oppression, exploitation, abuse, and control of nature. It is the magic of gaining wealth and power from harming the world, the magic of callous disregard for life in favor of individual achievement.
